Ingredients
- 1 pound grnd turkey
- 2 lg. onions, minced
- 4 (15 ounce.) cans dark & regular red kidney beans
- 1 (28 ounce.) can peeled Italian tomatoes, cut up
- 1 (14 ounce.) can stewed tomatoes
- 1 (4 ounce.) can diced green chili peppers (opt.)
- 1/8 c. chili pwdr
- 1 teaspoon garlic pwdr
- 1 teaspoon dry oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon grnd red pepper
Directions
- Brown turkey and onions (stir a lot) in Dutch oven. Stir in undrained beans and remaining ingredients. Simmer, uncovered 1 to 1 1/4 hrs. 12 (1 c.) servings. Serve on whole grain brown rice (low cholesterol, high in protein and fiber. Low calories and oil.
