Ground Beef Casserole Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Grnd beef
  • 1/2 c. Celery, sliced
  • 1/2 c. Onion, minced
  • 1 clv garlic, chopped
  • 1 x 15-ounce. can Tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 c. Rice, cooked
  • 1 x 8-ounce.can Corn, liquid removed
  • 1/4 c. Tomato paste
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Basil, crushed
  • 1/8 tsp Italian seasoning, crushed
  • 1/8 tsp Pepper
  • 6 slc Cheese, diagonally sliced
  • 1 x Tomato, sliced

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 .
  2. In large pan, cook beef over medium heat.
  3. Drain and remove beef from pan.
  4. Add in celery, onion and garlic to pan. Cook, stirring for four min or possibly till soft. Return beef to pan.
  5. Add in next 8 ingredients; stir till blended.
  6. Spoon half of mix into 8-inch square baking dish. Arrange half of the cheese slices over top. Repeat layers. Place tomatoes on top. Bake 30 min or possibly till bubbly.
