Ingredients

  • 2 med. green bell peppers
  • 1/3 pound grnd beef
  • 1 teaspoon chopped onion
  • 1/3 c. tomato paste
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon chili pwdr
  • 4 drops warm pepper sauce
  • Dash of pepper
  • 1/4 c. instant rice
  • 2 ounce. shredded cheddar cheese
  • Cheese for garnish

Directions

  1. Wash peppers, remove tops, seeds and membranes. Parboil in salted boiling water 5-6 min; drain. Brown beef with onion in skillet. Drain off fat. Stir in tomato paste, water, salt, Worcestershire sauce, chili pwdr, pepper sauce and pepper; cover and bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Stir in rice and cheese. Let stand, covered, for 5 min. Divide mix between peppers, upright in baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 min.
