  • 1 pkg. (10 ounce.) frzn green peas
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled and squashed, not chopped
  • 1 sm. white onion, sliced
  • 3 tbsp. water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  1. Heat butter in saucepan which has a tight fitting lid; add in garlic and saute/fry over medium to high heat for 15 seconds or possibly till it is coated with butter. Add in the onion. Saute/fry quickly till onion rings are separated.
  2. Add in peas and toss with spatula till vegetables are mixed. Add in water. Cover, bring to boil. Then turn heat down to medium or possibly low and steam for 4 to 5 min. Season with salt and pepper. If liquid has not all boiled off, stir over heat till it disappears. Turn into serving dish; remove garlic before serving.
