Green Juice 3-Ways + My Go-To Green Juice Formula (video)

As a part of my April series, #CleanAndGreenWithDani, I have been making an effort to get more dark leafy greens into my life and green juice is a very easy way to get accomplish that.

If you are brand new to juicing or you’ve never juiced before, then you may want to watch my Juicing 101 video. In that video I share everything you need to know about juicing; what exactly it is, why people do it, and how to go about selecting a juicer, should you want one. It’s a great starting point for anyone is thinking about adding green juice into their clean-eating lifestyle.

Once you’ve made all of those decisions and you have a juicer at home, it’s very easy to create nutrient packed, delicious green juices (which by the way, I believe the only reason to add juice to your diet is to get more greens!).

High Water Veggies (ie. celery + cucumbers) + Dark Leafy Greens + Fruit (ie. green apple + pear) + Flavor Boosters (ie. lemon, mint, ginger, etc.)

Easy enough, right?!

Okay, so now that you have the formula, you really don’t need me anymore but I still want to share 3 of my favorite flavor combos with you. Here we go….

1. THE GREEN MONSTER

The Green Monster

The Green Monster is a classic. You’ll see different versions of this power house all over the web. The general idea is to pack in lots of greens with very little fruit, this way you get lots of greens with little sugar. It’s a beautiful thing.

The Green Monster

1 stalk of celery

1/2 cucumber

2 leaves of kale

4 leaves of romaine

1/2 green apple

1/2 lemon

2 sprigs of parsley

Juice and enjoy!

2. EARTHY BEETS + GREENS

Beets + Greens

Ok. So this one is not only delicious, but it’s beautiful. What can I say…. I’m a Libra and Libra’s like pretty things. This juice is just. so. dang. pretty!

Earthy Beets + Greens

2 beets, peeled, and cut into chunks

1 carrot

3 leaves of kale

1/2 inch piece of ginger

1 lemon, peeled

Juice. Admire. Enjoy!

3. MINT-Y PINEAPPLE GREENS

Pineapple Greens

This one is perfect for kids or beginners because the pineapple makes the juice really light and bright with just the right amount of sweetness. If you are baby-stepping your way into the world of green juice, this is your gal.

Now I want to hear from you?! Do you like to juice? And if so, what is your favorite green juice combo?
