Ingredients

  • 1 pound grnd beef
  • 1/4 c. minced onion
  • 1/2 c. minced celery
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1/2 c. lowfat milk
  • 1 1/2 c. potato flakes
  • 1 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese
  • 1 can green beans, liquid removed

Directions

  1. Brown grnd beef and drain. Add in onion, celery, cream of mushroom soup and pepper. Let simmer 20 min.
  2. Meanwhile mix and bring to boil water, salt and butter; remove from heat and add in lowfat milk, flaked potatoes and 3/4 c. of the cheese. Grease or possibly spray with Pam a 1 1/2 qt casserole. Layer beef-soup mix; then green beans and top with scoops of potato mix. Top with remaining cheese. Bake at 300 degrees for 20 min.
