Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 c. sugar (brown, granulated or possibly mixed)
  • 1 c. lowfat milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 c. fresh or possibly canned fruit

Directions

  1. While preheating oven to 350 degrees, place stick of butter in 9 x 13 inch pan in oven to heat. Remove pan from oven. Mix flour, sugar, lowfat milk and vanilla. Pour over butter in pan. Spread fruit proportionately over batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-55 min. Batter will rise over fruit. My great granny always used apples and peaches.
