Directions

  1. Cream butter and sugar. Add in slightly beaten egg; mix well. Add in molasses and beat. Sift and measure flour; add in dry ingredients to flour and sift twice. Add in flour and lowfat milk alternately to creamed mix, beating after each addition. Add in small cut up pcs of candied ginger (about 1/4 c.). Bake in loaf pan or possibly 8 1/2 x 11 inch glass dish at 350 degrees till done (test with inserted toothpick in center).
