Gingerbread With Lemon Glaze (Cyndy's) Recipe

  1. Blend applesauce, sugar, and yogurt together. Add in sugar and mix thoroughly. Beatin egg and molasses. Sift flour together with soda, salt, and spices.
  2. Addto molasses mix alternately with warm water, beginning and ending with flour. Pour into a greased 9x9 pan and bake at 350 for 45 min or possibly untila toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. After removing from oven, pierce top with the tines of a fork and glaze (recipe follows). I think this tastes best hot.
  3. Lemon Glaze
  4. 1/2 box powdered sugar2 lemons
  5. In a small bowl, empty 1/2 box powdered sugar. Squeeze juice of two lemonsinto the sugar and mix to dissolve. Glaze hot gingerbread.
