My husband loves ginger snaps, these come very close to what I usually by from a specialty store. i cut them into hearts, trees or just leave them round. They are crisp and great with a cup of coffee or a glass of milk
Ingredients
- 3/4 Cup margarine
- 1 Cup white sugar
- 1/4 Cup molasses
- 2 1/2 Cups flour
- 1/3 Cup water
- 1/4 Tsp. salt
- 2 Tbs micro planed fresh ginger
- 1 Tsp nutmeg
- 1 Tsp cinnamon
- 1 Tsp cloves
- 1 1/2 Tsp baking soda
Directions
- Blend margarine with sugar and whip until fluffy, add molasses. Slowly add flour, then baking soda. Now add remaining items and blend. Use a small cookie scoop to form rounds, roll these in white sugar and bake at for 12-15 minutes
