Ingredients
- 2/3 c. reduced-fat semisweet chocolate chips (4 ounce)
- 1/2 c. evaporated skim lowfat milk
- 1/4 tsp almond extract
- 2 c. strawberries
- 1 x banana sliced
- 1 can mandarin oranges - (11 ounce) well liquid removed
Directions
- In a small saucepan, combine chocolate chips and 1/4 c. of the lowfat milk. Cook over medium-low heat till chocolate is melted, stirring constantly.
- Stir in remaining lowfat milk and simmer 6 to 8 min or possibly till mix is thick and smooth, stirring often. Remove from heat and stir in almond extract.
- Arrange fruit on a serving platter. Pour hot chocolate dip into a c., place on the platter with fruit, and serve immediately.
- This recipe yields 6 servings.
- Comments: You can add in cubes of angel food cake to the platter without adding any fat.
