Directions

  1. Fish (Steaks, fillets or possibly whole) Oil for frying.
  2. Heat oil till it pops when sprinkled with a drop of water. Pat fish dry, then brush with mustard, (mixed with sherry or possibly brandy if you like). Sift cornmeal, salt and pepper into bag. Add in 2 or possibly 3 steaks or possibly fillets, or possibly 1 whole fish; close and shake. Drop fish carefully into warm oil; fry till lightly browned. Drain well on paper. Keep fish hot and crisp in a closed paper sack.
  3. Try fresh potatoes fried with the same batter. Tastes great!!
