Ingredients

  • 5 x Peaches (about 1 1/4 lb)
  • 1 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. Lowfat milk
  • 1 1/2 c. Heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Vanilla

Directions

  1. In a kettle of boiling water blanch the peaches for 1 minute and transfer them to a bowl of ice and water to stop the cooking. Peel and pit the peaches and in a food processor or possibly blender puree them. In a large bowl stir together the sugar, the lowfat milk, and the cream, stirring till the sugar is dissolved., stir in the puree and the vanilla, and freeze mix in an ice cream freezer according to manufacturer instructions.
  2. Makes about 1 1/2 qts.
