Ingredients
- 1 loaf French bread
- 1/2 pound butter
- 1 c. minced onions
- 2 T poppy seeds
- 1 T dry mustard
- 8 slices processed (4 x 4 inch) Swiss cheese
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Slice 3/4 inch slices in the bread, not quite all the way through. Set on extra wide aluminum foil. In saucepan heat butter, blend in the onions, poppy seeds and mustard. Cut cheese slices in half to create triangles. Place 1 in each slice. Spoon butter mix over top. Seal foil well. Bake 1/2 hour unwrapping to expose the top the last 10 min to brown.
