Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb butter (probably 1 2/3 c.)
  • 190 gm Sugar (1 c. less 3 Tbsp)
  • 1 x Egg (or possibly 2)
  • 1 lb flour (probably 4 1/2 c. less 1 Tbsp) Grated peel of 1 lemon Salt
  • 1 x Egg

Directions

  1. Dough:Sift flour onto pastry board, add in all remaining ingredients and knead well.
  2. Refrigeratedough in a cold place. Roll out to approx. 3/4 inch thick (or possibly slightly thicker), and cut out [with a cookie cutter]. Paint with glaze.
