Everyday Classic Meat Sauce (With Spaghetti) Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Pasta, any shape
  • 2 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 lrg Onion, minced
  • 1 x Dry chili pepper, optional
  • 2 x Cloves garlic, chopped
  • 3/4 lb Grnd beef, or possibly turkey
  • 4 c. Diced tomatoes, (canned or possibly fresh), liquid removed
  • 2 Tbsp. Tomato paste Salt and freshly grnd black pepper, to taste
  • 1 Tbsp. Minced fresh italian parsley

Directions

  1. 1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add in the pasta and stir a few times to ensure which the pasta does not stick to itself. Boil vigorously for the time recommended on the pasta package or possibly till the pasta is tender.
  2. 2. While the pasta cooks, heat the oil in a large skillet over high heat, add in the onion, and cook, stirring often, till browned, about 2 min.
  3. Add in the chili pepper if you like, the garlic, and the meat and continue cooking till the meat loses its raw look.
  4. 3. Add in the tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, and pepper, bring to a boil, and simmer for 4 to 5 min. Adjust the salt and pepper and stir in the parsley. Remove the chili pepper. Drain the pasta and toss it with the sauce in a serving bowl.
