Ensaladang Filipino Recipe
by Ang Sarap

Ensaladang Filipino is a type of side dish salad usually served on family gathering or outings usually served with grilled meats, grilled seafood and rice. I grew up with this dish and I always remember when we go out for an outing whether its friends or family this is always served, usually prepared on premise we usually bring along fresh ingredients like tomatoes, mangoes and eggplants. When lunch time is nearly ready moms, grandmas, aunties or even those male members of the family who loves to cook start chopping the ingredients and grilling the eggplants on the same charcoal grill the meats are cooked. Once fully prepared kids are then called so all stay in an open cottage to partake in a feast under the searing hot summer sun. I guess like me many Filipinos associate this salad with memories of family or barkada events, it’s one of the dishes that brings back precious memories of childhood.Ensaladang Filipino  Save PrintPrep time Total time  IngredientsChar-grilled Eggplants, choppedSemi-Ripe Mangoes, dicedSalted duck eggs, choppedTomatoes, dicedBagoongInstructionsPlace all chopped ingredients in a plate, separately from each other than serve it with bagoong.Enjoy as a side dish with grilled meats and seafood.3.5.3208  Share this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Google+ (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)Click to email this to a friend (Opens in new window)Like this:Like Loading...
