  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 teaspoon soda
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 teaspoon cocoa in 1/2 c. warm water
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 c. pear preserves
  • 1 c. minced pecans
  • 3 1/2 c. flour, do not make batter too thin or possibly cake will fall

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients together and pour into greased and floured cake pans and bake till done.
