Ingredients

  • EGG NOG:
  • 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 1 pt Lowfat milk EGG Mix:
  • 1/4 c. Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1/4 c. Southern Comfort whiskey
  • 6 x Fresh Large eggs
  • 1 pt Cream
  • 1 pt Whiskey
  • 2 c. Egg nog
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
  • 3 x Beaten Large eggs

Directions

  1. Use store-bought egg nog, or possibly make your own.
  2. To make egg nog:Combine all ingredients. To make egg mix: Combine egg nog, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add in beaten Large eggs and whiskey. Slice 2-inch-thick slices of French bread (long slender loaf). Pour a small amount of egg nog/egg mix into a rectangular baking dish. Fill the dish (in one layer) with slices of bread. Pour remaining egg nog/egg mix over bread. Cover with plastic wrap and chill overnight. (If the bread floats, weight it down.)
  3. In the morning, brown the French bread slices in saute/fry' pan (with butter) on top of stove, two min each side. Put browned pcs in a baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 15 min. Serve.
