Ingredients
- 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
- 1 (16 ounce.) crushed pineapple, in own juice. Don't drain.
- 1 (16 ounce.) Comstock Pie Cherries
- 1/4 pound butter
Directions
- Spread pineapple on bottom of large square or possibly 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Spread cherries over the pineapple.
- Sprinkle dry cake mix proportionately over cherry layer.
- Have butter very cool so it can be shaved over dry cake mix. (Put in plastic bag and set on ice cubes in icemaker. Then shave with a potato peeler.)
- Bake 25 min at 350 degrees or possibly till lightly browned.
- Variations...Use Comstock Strawberry or possibly Apple pie mix.
