  1. Combine all ingredients except syrup. Beat at low speed till blended. Beat at high speed 10 min. Combine one c. of batter with chocolate syrup.
  2. Set aside. Pour half of remaining batter in large tube pan which has been greased and floured. Spoon half of chocolate batter on top. Repeat layers and swirl batter with knife. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour or possibly till done. If top begins to brown too much, cover loosely with foil.
