Ingredients

  • 1 (15 ounce.) can garbanzo beans, undrained
  • 1 or possibly 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 green onion, cut into 1/2 inch pcs
  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp. plain non-fat yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon tahini or possibly sesame oil
  • Green onion strips

Directions

  1. Drain garbanzo beans, reserving 2 Tbsp. liquid. Place in bowl of food processor, using metal knife blade. Top with cover. With processor running, drop garlic through food chute; process 3 seconds. Add in 2 Tbsp. remaining liquid, onion, and next 3 ingredients. Cover and process till smooth. Scrape sides of bowl once with a rubber spatula. Serve with toasted pita wedges.
