Easy Cherry Or Peach Cobbler Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 (20 ounce.) can sweet cherries or possibly cling peaches in heavy syrup (use pitted cherries)
  • 1 c. flour
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • Dash salt
  • 3/4 c. lowfat milk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Heat butter in 8 x 11 pan on top of stove. In mixing bowl combine flour, 1/2 c. sugar (put 1/4 c. sugar to side for later), baking pwdr, salt and lowfat milk. Pour flour mix into pan, over butter/butter. Take a spoon and spread the flour mix proportionately in pan. Add in cherries (or possibly peaches) including the juice; spread proportionately. Sprinkle the remaining sugar over the top and put in oven. Bake for 1 hour or possibly till golden.
  2. Serves 6 to 8.
