Easy Authentic Chicken and Sausage Gumbo

Great tasting authentic cajun gumbo flavor! Easy to cook in less than an hour. Just dissolve A Touch Of Luck Seasonings Roux Dat Gumbo Base in boiling water, add vegetables and meat and Voila!

  • 1 cup Roux Dat Gumbo Base
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 green bell peppers
  • 1 white onion chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery


  1. Bring 3 quarts of water to a boil in a 6 quart pot. In a separate skillet
  2. Add ¼ cup of vegetable oil & sauté 2 bell peppers, 1 onion chopped, ½ cup chopped celery in a SEPERATE SKILLET.
  3. Dissolve 1 cup of Roux Dat Gumbo Base (½ jar) with vegetables
  4. Stir into boiling water. Cut & season one medium chicken & 1 lb. of your favorite smoked sausage and add to boiling water,
  5. Cook on a low boil for 60 minutes or until chicken is fully cooked.
  6. Serve over steamed rice
