Ingredients
- 1 c. Fine extra virgin olive oil
- 1 c. Butter
- 1 c. Lowfat milk
- 1 c. Sugar
- 1 tsp Baking pwdr diluted in a little lemon joice Flour, as much needed for a soft dough
- 1 1/2 kg "mizithra" cheese, (or possibly cottage cheese as a substitute)
- 1 x Large eggs, up to 2
- 10 Tbsp. Sugar Cinnamon Finely minced mint
Directions
- Prepare the dough, cover it, and set it aside to rise. Then, roll out the dough, and cut out circular pcs that you fill with the stuffing and then you shape them in the manner of small oil-lamps: twisting the edge all around, like a crown. Dab with egg, and sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake till golden brown.
