Cost per recipe $2.68 view details
  • 500 gm Split peas Stock cubes
  • 2 x Chicken breasts
  • 500 gm Meatloaf Vegatables for soup Some pepper If desired it an onion

Directions

  1. Put the peas in a pan, pour water on it and let it rest over night. the peas will be swollen the next morning. Use the water in the pan and add in some more. You can use a big pan and fill it for 3/4 with (cool) water. Put the pan on the stove, and let it heat up slowly on a low fire. Add in the chicken breast, that are minced. I do not know how many stock cubes have to be used, which depends how much salt you like in soup. make little balls of the meatloaf and add in which too. (we here in Holland have chopped beef).
  2. Let the soup boil for one hour on a low fire. Stir now and then. When the soup looks like a green smoothly porridge, add in the vegatables and let it boil another 10 minutes. Do not forget to stir. It esasy burns on the bottom.
  3. You can add in a minced onion too, and if desired it some pepper.
