- July 8, 2012Followed your award-winning recipe. It IS a winner. BBQ-d chickens for guests. A huge hit. Wonderful after play on the palate. Rich, sweet & savory, very well balanced - a great recipe which I will be serving all season. I can also see this made with a quality root beer, which I believe would add a note similar to the Dr. Pepper (Cherry DP is a favorite of mine), and has a flavor profile that I believe might be more interesting than Coke. Thanks, Chef Patty.I've cooked/tasted this recipe! This is a variation

- July 18, 2012I absolutly loved this! I drank dr. pepper for years but it became too sweet for me after a long stint of diet coke. I loved the heat that the chipotle adds to the sauceI've cooked/tasted this recipe!

- July 13, 2012Hey Patty! Love this recipe! I absolutely love Dr Pepper. I switched to diet Dr. P several years ago and was wondering would that work as a suitable substitute or should I add maybe Agave nectar to supplement the sugars?1 reply
- July 13, 2012Hi Sweetie! I think the Agave would be your best bet with this recipe. Thanks for your feedback and let me know how it turns out!

This sounds very good. I have added it to my Try Soon folder. A great combination of flavors. Thanks for posting and sharing.
