Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine
  • 1/3 c. Onion, minced
  • 1 c. Catsup
  • 1/2 c. Water
  • 1/4 c. Lemon juice, fresh
  • 2 Tbsp. Cider vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey
  • 2 Tbsp. Brown sugar, light
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Mustard, prepared
  • 1/2 tsp Chili pwdr
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 5 lb Pork spareribs

Directions

  1. In saucepan, heat butter over medium-high heat. Add in onion. Cook, stirring, 3 min or possibly till soft. Stir in remaining ingredients except ribs; bring to boil. Reduce heat; simmer, stirring often, 20 min.
  2. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place ribs in single layer in two baking pans. Bake 1 1/2 hrs or possibly till tender. Drain and throw away drippings from pans. Spread half of the barbeque sauce proportionately over the ribs. Reduce heat to 350 degrees. Bake ribs 15 min. Turn and brush with remaining sauce. Bake 15 min. Serve!
