Ingredients
- 1 (18 1/2 ounce.) box chocolate cake mix (Duncan Hines)
- 1/3 c. vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 1 c. minced nuts (pecans or possibly walnuts)
- 1 (14 ounce.) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed lowfat milk
- 1 (6 ounce.) pkg. chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- Dash of salt
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large mixing bowl, beat cake mix, oil and egg on medium speed till crumbly. Add in nuts and stir till blended.
- Reserving 1 1/2 c. of crumb mix, press remainder firmly in bottom of 13x9-inch baking pan. In small saucepan combine remaining ingredients. Over medium heat cook and stir till chips heat.
- Pour proportionately over mix in pan. Top with remaining crumb mix. Bake 25-30 min or possibly till bubbly. Cold on wire rack in pan. Cut into bars and cover loosely at room temperature.
