Double Cheese Fondue Recipe

  • 2 can condensed Cheddar cheese soup (11 ounce ea)
  • 1/4 c. dry white wine or possibly apple juice
  • 2 c. shredded Swiss or possibly Cheddar cheese - (8 ounce)
  • 1/4 tsp garlic pwdr
  • 1 dsh red pepper sauce
  • 4 med green onions finely minced Bite-size pcs French bread if you like Bell peppers cut bite size Broccoli cut bite size Cauliflower cut bite size Celery cut bite size Cherry tomatoes Pimiento-stuffed olives

Directions

  1. Heat soup, wine and cheese in 2-qt saucepan or possibly chafing dish over medium heat, stirring occasionally, till cheese is melted. Stir in garlic pwdr, pepper sauce and onions. Pour into fondue pot or possibly chafing dish to keep hot.
  2. Spear Vegetable Dippers and bread pcs with fondue forks; dip into fondue. (If fondue becomes too thick, stir in a small amount of dry white wine or possibly apple juice.)
  3. This recipe yields 8 servings.
  4. Comments: Leftover fondue Thin it with a little lowfat milk to turn it into a delicious soup! Top servings with croutons, and serve with apple and pear slices.
