  • 15 fl ounce Lowfat milk
  • 1/2 c. Medium oatmeal*
  • 1 lrg egg (beaten) Grated rind,juice 1 orange
  • 2 tsp Sugar (to taste)
  • 1/2 ounce Gelatine
  • 2 Tbsp. Water
  • 8 ounce Heavy cream** Fruit sauce of choice***

Directions

  1. *"Pinhead" if you can get it. This is the cracked oat groat, not rolled.**
  2. Whipped.*** Thin your favorite jam slightly with hot water. - Soak the oatmeal in the lowfat milk for 30 min, turn all into a pan and stir till it boils. Then simmer 3-4 min. Pour mix into a bowl and add in the beaten egg, grated lemon rind, and sugar to taste. Dissolve gelatine in the orange juice and water, add in to the mix when it's cooled, and then mix in the cream. Pour the whole mix into a glass bowl and leave to set. Serve with 3-4 Tablespoons of chosen fruit sauce on top.
