Delicious Orange Sour Cream Cake Recipe

Ingredients

  • 250 gm softened TARARUA butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 6 x lightly beaten Large eggs
  • 4 tsp finely grated orange rind
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1 c. or possibly 250 g TARARUA Lowfat sour cream one orange and 1/4 c. sugar, (combined together) , Juice of

Directions

  1. Cream the butter and sugar till light and fluffy.
  2. Add in the Large eggs and orange rind, blend well.
  3. Mix in flour and baking pwdr alternating with the lowfat sour cream.
  4. Mix gently till smooth and pour into a well-greased 26cm spring bottom round tin.
  5. Bake at 160 C for 60-80 min or possibly till a skewer comes out cleanly when tested.
  6. After removing from the oven leave the cake in the tin for a few min then pour on the glaze.
  7. Leave for an additional few min before removing from the pan.
  8. Serve with whipped Tararua cream and fresh orange curd.
