Ingredients

  • 1 deep dish pie shell
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1/2 c. picante sauce
  • Tostitos
  • Tomatoes
  • Lowfat sour cream
  • 1 pound grnd beef
  • 1 pkg. taco seasoning
  • 2 c. grated cheese
  • 1 can green chilies
  • Olives
  • Picante

Directions

  1. Make a 10 inch pie shell and bake 10 min at 400 degrees. Brown meat, add in taco seasoning as directed on package. Mix beans and picante sauce. Spread 1/2 bean mix in bottom of pie shell; spread 1/2 of meat on top of beans; add in layer of 1 c. grated cheese and layer of crushed tostitos. Repeat layers except chips. Make circle on outside edge of pie with minced green chilies. Bake 20 to 25 min at 350 degrees. Let pie cold for 5 - 10 min for easier serving. Make circles of minced tomatoes, olives and lowfat sour cream, if you like. Additional picante sauce may be added after serving. Freezes well.
