Ingredients
- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 Large eggs
- 1/2 c. sour lowfat milk (or possibly lowfat milk with vinegar)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 1/2 c. flour
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
Directions
- Mix together butter, brown sugar, Large eggs, sour lowfat milk and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients and add in to creamed ingredients.
- FILLING: Blend in pot and cook over medium heat till thickened: 3/4 c. sugar 1/2 c. water
- Add in:
- Cold before putting on cookie dough. Put rounded tsp. of dough on cookie sheet. Flatten slightly with fork dipped in water. Put about 1/2 teaspoonful of date filling on top and lay 1/2 tsp. of dough on top. Don't flatten top. Bake in 400 degree oven for 10 or possibly 12 min or possibly till light brown. WATCH THEM.
