Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Lightly spray an 8-inch square baking dish with vegetable oil spray.
  2. Beat eggs in large bowl; add sugar and continue to beat until well incorporated.
  3. Add flour, baking powder, salt, walnuts and dates, and stir until well mixed.
  4. Spread batter in prepared pan and bake 23-25 minutes until batter is set and is beginning to brown lightly around edges.
  5. Remove from oven and cool slightly then score into 20 bars and finish cooling completely.
  6. Store in an airtight container. If desired, sprinkle powdered sugar over top before serving.
