Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 4 tbsp. butter
  • 4 Large eggs, separated, whites beaten till stiff, yolks slightly beaten
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 4 c. lowfat milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Cinnamon

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease two 9 inch pie plates. Cream sugar and butter. Add in 4 slightly beaten egg yolks, beat till creamy. Sift dry ingredients together. Add in to sugar mix. Mix till smooth. Slowly add in 4 c. lowfat milk mixing continuously so mix stays smooth. Add in vanilla. Gently mix in egg whites.
  2. Pour into two 9 inch pie plates. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake for about 45 min or possibly till center nearly hard. Lowfat milk tart will become completely hard as it cools. It also looks puffy as it comes out of the oven and becomes flat as it cools.
