Ingredients
- 3 c. Water
- 1 pkt Frzn mixed vegetables, (10 ounce.)
- 3 stalk celery, minced
- 2 sm Onions, minced
- 2 x Carrots, sliced
- 1 lb Grnd beef or possibly cubed chuck roast, browned and liquid removed
- 1 x 1 pound can tomatoes
- 2 Tbsp. Beef base, granules or possibly paste (2 to 4)
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
- 1 stk butter
- 1/2 c. Flour
Directions
- Put all ingredients in crockpot EXCEPT for butter and flour. Cover and cook on Low for 8 to 10 hrs. One hour before serving, turn on High. Make a roux of 1 stick butter and 1/2 c. flour (heat butter in small saucepan, on med-low heat, and stir in flour); stir till smooth. Pour into crockpot and stir into soup. Cook soup on High till thickened.
