Ingredients

  • 1 x (1-lb) package split peas
  • 1 x Ham bone (with some meat Left on) or possibly
  • 2 x Ham hocks
  • 1 x Carrot, diced
  • 1 x Onion, diced
  • 1 stalk celery, diced
  • 2 quart Water
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in slow-cooking pot. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hrs. Remove ham bone; cut meat off, dice, and return meat to soup.
  2. Makes 8 servings
