Crispy Fried Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tbsp. garlic salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning

Directions

  1. Combine flour and seasoning in medium bowl. Combine egg yolk and beer or possibly water. Add in gradually to dry ingredients. Heat canola oil to 365 degrees in fry pan for deep frying. Moisten chicken pcs. Dip in seasoned flour, then batter, then back in seasoned flour. Fry in warm oil for 15 to 18 min or possibly till well browned. Drain on paper.
  2. If you are using beer and batter becomes too thick, add in a little extra beer. Skin can be removed from chicken and you still have a crisp coating.
