Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. Brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. White sugar
  • 1/2 c. Unsalted butter
  • 1 x Egg
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. Oatmeal
  • 3/4 c. Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 x To 1/2 c. grnd walnuts

Directions

  1. Cream the sugars and the butter till the mix is very smooth.
  2. Blend in the egg and the vanilla. Fold in the oatmeal.
  3. Sift together the flour, soda and salt. Blend which into the dough.
  4. It will be a very soft dough. Let it stand for a few min to hard up. Meanwhile, heat the oven to 350F.
  5. Drop the dough by rounded Tbsp. onto a cookie sheet, leaving 2 inches between dough mounds. Sprinkle each with some grnd nuts, pressing them into the dough and flattening the cookies at the same time. Bake for 10 min, till cookies are uniformly brown.
  6. Makes approximately 18 cookies, 4 1/2 inches in diameter.
