Ingredients

  • For the Caramelized Onions:
  • 2 large yellow onions, halved and thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Two pinches of kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup (170 grams) beer (any kind will do)
  • For the Dip:
  • 8 ounces (227 grams) cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1 cup (227 grams) sour cream
  • 6 cloves roasted garlic
  • 4 ounces (113 grams) cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced, dark green parts reserved for garnish
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
