Ingredients

  • 90 gm rice flour
  • 450 ml lowfat milk
  • 120 gm sugar
  • 2 tsp rose water
  • 2 tsp flaked almands
  • 1 sht edible silver foil (varq) optional

Directions

  1. Mix the fice flour with a quarter of the cool lowfat milk.
  2. Heat the remaining lowfat milk with the sugar.
  3. When it comes to the boil reduce the heat and stir in the rice flour mix.
  4. Keep stirring till a thick batterlike consistency is achieved.
  5. Remove from the heat and cold to room temperature stirring occasionally to prevent a skin from forming.
  6. Stir in the rose water and transfer to individual serving bowls.
  7. Chill till required.
  8. Just before serving the creamed rice that will have set sprinkle with the almonds and decorate with silver foil if you like.
  9. A festive dessert perfumed with rose water.
  10. Serves 4
