Cream Filling and Chocolate Ganache for Boston Cream Pie Recipe

Ingredients

  • Recipe: Cream filling
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup bread flour
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups scalded milk *
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • or 1/2 tsp. lemon extract
  • 2 eggs or egg yolks
  • Mix dry ingredients. Add scalded milk
  • gradually. Cook 15 minutes in double boiler, stirring constantly
  • until mixture thickens, and after wards, occasionally. Add eggs,
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 8 oz. Bakers Semi-Sweet Chocolate, broken or cut into chunks
