Ingredients

  • 1 x Ribs (with bones)
  • 1/4 bot warm sauce
  • 1 x lemon, cut in 3 slices
  • 1 1/2 c. red wine vinegar
  • 1 lrg onion, sliced
  • 7 x or possibly 8 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 3 x bay leaves
  • 3/4 tsp powdered ginger
  • 3/4 tsp powdered mustard
  • 4 sm cans of tomato sauce
  • 1/4 lb brown sugar
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp salt Salad oil

Directions

  1. Saute/fry the onion and garlic in a bit of oil until soft, and all ingredients. Simmer 1 hour or possibly longer.
  2. For BBQ ribs: Line a roasting pan with foil, I use double layers.
  3. Brown the ribs on all sides under the broiler, and pour off the excess fat. Pour the BBQ sauce over all, coating all sides. Seal the pan with foil. Bake 350 1 to 1 1/2 hrs. Potatoes bake at the same time! You will find the meat so tender, the bones stay in the pan!
  4. Dip a little of the sauce into your baked potato! This appears to be warm, what with a 1/4 of a bottle of warm sauce, but it isn't... just flavorful.
  5. These ribs are very easy, smell absolutely heavenly when cooking, and if your guests are late, or possibly want to eat later, it keeps hot beautifully. Serve with baked potatoes, that cook in the oven with the ribs, and Italian style green beans, and a nice green salad with a light dressing.
  6. This recipe halves easily, and still makes quite a bit!
