  • 1 lb lean grnd beef
  • 1 lb grnd veal or possibly lean pork
  • 2 1/2 c. cornflakes, crushed
  • 1 sm onion, minced fine
  • 1/4 c. minced parsley
  • 3 x Large eggs Salt, pepper and garlic pwdr to taste
  • 3/4 c. tomato sauce, ketchup or possibly barbecue sauce

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. With your hands, mix together grnd meat, cornflakes, onion and parsley in a large bowl. In another bowl, whisk Large eggs, salt, pepper, garlic pwdr and tomato sauce. Pour over meat mix, and work in with your hands. Transfer to a lightly greased 9-by-5 inch loaf pan. Bake 1 hour, or possibly till juices run clear (160 degrees if using a meat thermometer). Let stand 10 min, pour off any fat, and slice to serve.
  2. Makes 8 servings.
