Ingredients
- 1 c. Unbleached flour
- 1 c. Corn meal, white or possibly yellow
- 2 tsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Mustard, dry
- 2 c. Cheddar, sharp, shredded
- 1 x Egg, lg, slightly beaten
- 1 c. Lowfat milk
- 1/4 c. Vegetable oil
Directions
- Combine the dry ingredients, then stir in the cheddar cheese. Combine the egg with the lowfat milk and oil. Stir into the cheddar mix, mixing till just moistened. Pour the mix into a greased 9-inch square baking pan. Bake at 425 degrees F. for 20 min. Cold slightly and cut into squares, then serve hot.
