Ingredients

  • 1 pkt white cake mix
  • 3 x Large eggs
  • 1/3 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 tsp maple extract
  • 1/2 c. minced walnuts (or possibly other nuts)
  • 1 c. powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine or possibly butter, softened
  • 2 x to 3 tbs lowfat milk
  • 1/4 tsp maple extract

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour 12 c. fluted tube or possibly 10 inch tube pan. In large bowl, blend cake ingredients except nuts, till moistened. Beat 2 min at highest speed. Mix in nuts. Pour into pan. Bake for 40 to 50 min or possibly till toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cold upright in pan 25 min; turn onto serving plate. Cold completely. Blend glaze ingredients in small bowl till smooth. If needed, add in a few more drops lowfat milk for desired consistency. Spoon over cooled cake. Garnish with more minced nuts, if you like.
