Directions

  1. Heat butter, adding sugar and cocoa, over medium heat. Bring to a boil, constantly stirring, till all sugar crystals are dissolved and mix is thick. Remove from heat.Add in large eggs very, very slowly, constantly stirring. While still beating, return to heat, continue to cook for 1 1/2 min. (Make sure to add in large eggs slowly in order to avoid chunks of cooked egg.)
  2. Put together with broken pcs of graham crackers. Place in a greased 9 X 13-inch cake pan and compress very well.
  3. Blend sugar and Crisco together. Bring lowfat milk and flour to a boil over medium heat till thick. Add in lowfat milk and flour mix by the teaspoonful to the Crisco and sugar mix.While still warm, beat on high speed while combining both ingredients. Add in vanilla; continue beating till fluffy.
  4. When done, spread the icing liberally over the cake. Place in refrigerator till completely cooled (1-2 hrs).
  5. Top with shaved chocolate.
  6. This is a favorite for our family at Christmas time. It is somewhat time consuming but well worth the wait!
