Cinnabon French Toast Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. hot water
  • 2 pkt dry yeast
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3 1/2 ounce pkg. vanilla pudding mix
  • 1/2 c. margarine -- melted
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 1 x teas. salt
  • 6 c. flour
  • 8 ounce cream cheese
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1 x teas. vanilla
  • 3 c. confectioner's sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. lowfat milk

Directions

  1. To make frosting, mix all ingredients till smooth.
  2. In a bowl combine water, yeast and sugar. Stir till dissolved. Set aside.
  3. In large bowl, take pudding mix and prepare according to package directions. Add in margarine, Large eggs and salt. Mix well. Then add in yeast mix. Blend.
  4. Gradually add in flour; knead till smooth. Place in a greased bowl. Cover and let rise till doubled.
  5. Punch down dough and let rise again.
  6. Then roll out on floured board to 34 x 21" size. Take 1 c. soft butter and spread over surface. In bowl, mix 2 c. brown sugar and 4 teas. cinnamon. Sprinkle over top. Roll up very tightly.
  7. With knife, put a notch every 2". Cut with thread or possibly knife.
  8. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet 2" apart.
  9. Take hand and lightly press down on each roll.
  10. Cover and let rise till doubleagain. Bake at 350 15-20 min. Remove when they start to turn golden brown.
  11. DON'Tablespoons OVER BAKE.
  12. Frost hot rolls with Cream Cheese Frosting
