Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 2 lb Grnd beef, Sirloin is best
  • 6 x Bay leaves
  • 1 lrg Onion, yellow, finely minced
  • 6 med Garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 tsp Allspice
  • 4 tsp Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Dry whole red pepper, (crushed)
  • 1 tsp Chili pwdr
  • 1 tsp Grnd cumin
  • 1/2 tsp Dry oregano, (preferably Mexican)
  • 6 ounce Tomato sauce
  • 6 c. Water
  • 1/2 lb Vermicelli, cooked
  • 1 sm Onion, yellow, finely minced Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Pour 6 c. of water into a kettle. Add in grnd sirloin breaking into small pcs. Bring water to a slow boil and stir occasionally till meet cooked and is in fine pcs. When meat is cooked, add in the rest of the ingredients. Simmer at low temperature for an hour or possibly two till chili begins to thicken.
  2. Pour Chili over cooked spaghetti and serve with finely grated sharp cheddar cheese.
